CASTING CALL OUT - SHORT PLAY AT THEATRE503 ON 17TH & 18TH SEPTEMBER 2017

Sophie Flack will be directing a short piece at Theatre503 as part of their Writer's Rapid Response event on 17th & 18th September.

Set on a working class street in Newcastle, Pat is housebound with a broken leg and has used this as a chance to guilt her daughter, Stacey, who has escaped to London, to come for a long-overdue visit. Running all the gamut of anger/love/guilt and put-downs in a mother/daughter relationship, the play unites the two with the startling revelation of the sexual abuse happening in the house over the road.

It's a 10 minute play and there will be 2 short rehearsals at the theatre beforehand, dates/times to be arranged between us, most likely on Thursday and Saturday. Unpaid, but a great script and nice opportunity to introduce yourself to the theatre.

Casting the following role, if interested please email links to spotlight page/showreel to: lanternlighttheatre@outlook.com

STACEY - (Female) (20's-30's) Left Newcastle to create a better life for herself in London, but has drifted between jobs, trying to find herself. Has not stayed in touch much with her mother or been back home to visit. Looking for a strong dramatic actress who also has a sparky sense of humour. General working class northern accent.
